Outstanding Care throughout Difficult Times

In line with recent Scottish Government guidance effective from September 2022, care homes in Scotland no longer require face masks to be worn during visits due to high vaccination rates and other mitigations against COVID-19 in the social care sector and LFD testing is no longer necessary. Face masks will continue to be provided at the home should it be your preference to continue to wear one and staff will support the preferences of our residents who wish for our staff to wear face masks whilst providing them with care.

We would like to reassure you that we will continue to work closely with our Local Health Protection Teams and will follow their guidance should this decision change. For further information, please click here or contact the Home Manager directly.

Nursing Care

We provide continuous 24-hour nursing care to those residents with higher dependency requirements, more severe physical impairments, or those who need end-of-life care.

Our nursing care is delivered using a method called “key nursing”. This means that Deeside allocates one nurse to each resident in order to form a personal connection, and ensures that a familiar friendly face is always on hand to answer any queries you, your friends, or relatives may have. If ever your allocated nurse is absent, you can rest assured that another highly trained member of staff, known as a “key worker” will care for you.

Residential Care

Residential care is a good solution for those who are largely capable of looking after themselves to some degree but would benefit from a little additional help from our staff every now and then following a recent operation or illness. For our local residents who just need that extra bit of encouragement when it comes to living in a group, we’ve created a fully welcoming and comforting atmosphere.

Those who are full-time carers can get the break they deserve with our respite care service. Our professional team will take care of your loved one’s needs to the highest degree whilst caregivers can be free of the care duties for a while until they feel ready. It’s just as important carers are mentally and physically capable of providing effective care for their loved ones.
