In the spirit of Halloween, the Deeside residents have been channeling their creativity and crafty skills into a fun and festive activity. They have been hard at work creating spooky paper lanterns to illuminate the upcoming Halloween party.

The Halloween preparations are in full swing, and the paper lanterns will play a significant role in illuminating the home's Halloween party at the end of October. The residents are eagerly anticipating the event, where they will showcase their handcrafted lanterns, along with an array of other spooky decorations, costumes, and treats.

The arts and crafts session was a joyful social activity where residents designed their own unique lanterns with support from the activities team. The lantern-making process allowed for creativity and self-expression, and residents embraced the opportunity with enthusiasm. They drew pumpkins, wicked witches, ghostly shapes, and all things Halloween on their lanterns.

As the paper lanterns took shape, the room echoed with laughter, stories, and shared memories of past Halloweens. Other Halloween decorations were also created such as cobwebs and 3D spiders to be hung on the walls.

The home is set to become a spooktacular haven for Halloween, promising a night of memories, laughter and joy. The activities staff have been highly supportive of such creative, seasonal activities, recognising the value they bring to the residents' emotional well-being and quality of life.
