Knit, Chat & Connect!

Tuesday morning saw the much-anticipated return of our knitting group. Residents were delighted to welcome family members who joined in the fun, helping to create a truly special atmosphere of warmth and togetherness at Deeside.

The group shared tips and stories whilst working on their own projects. Knitting has proved to be more than just a creative pastime, as it encourages focus, strengthens motor skills, and fosters meaningful social connection. The simple joy of making something by hand became a shared experience that lifted everyone’s spirits.

A special thank you goes to Jane, one of our resident’s daughters, who kindly joined us once again. Her patience, encouragement, and expertise guided both new learners and returning members through their stitches. Her presence added an extra touch of joy to an already wonderful morning.

As the session ended, many were already chatting excitedly about what they might knit next time. Our knitting mornings continue to be a reminder that creativity and companionship are the perfect threads for weaving community together.
