Deeside Care Home Summer BBQ Raises £981 for Make-A-Wish UK

On Saturday, 5th July 2025, we at Deeside Care Home were delighted to host our Summer BBQ Fayre, bringing together residents, families, staff, and members of the local community for a wonderful day of fun, food, and fundraising. We are incredibly proud to share that, thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved, we raised an amazing £981 for the Make-A-Wish UK charity.

The event was filled with live music that lifted everyone’s spirits, a variety of stalls offering delicious treats and crafts, a tombola and raffle full of fantastic prizes, and of course, a sizzling BBQ enjoyed by all. The atmosphere was buzzing with laughter and smiles, making it a truly memorable day.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated raffle prizes, bought tickets, and came along to support the event. Your kindness and community spirit made all the difference and helped us raise funds for a cause that is very close to our hearts – granting life-changing wishes to children facing critical illnesses.

At Deeside Care Home, we are committed not only to providing excellent care but also to making a positive impact in our wider community. Supporting Make-A-Wish UK is something we are proud to do, and we couldn’t have achieved this success without your help.
