Getting Out And About

What better place to reside than in a rural setting within the cults of Aberdeen. With a plethora of places surrounding the city centre, our care home is ideally positioned for trips out if residents fancy a change of pace. From cultural tours of Dunnottar Castle, to peaceful strolls at Duthie Park and just minutes from the nearest beach, there’s something for everyone to enjoy regardless of whether someone is a permanent resident, or receiving respite care.

Residential Care

Residential care at our Aberdeen care home provides individuals with the freedom to live their life as they wish to. Our staff are available at all hours of the day to provide residents with as much assistance as is needed. Residential care is most suited to someone who can no longer look after a household or who requires help with everyday tasks.

We encourage residents to put their skills and abilities to good use so that they can be as self-sufficient as possible. The variation of care and support given by our team are tailored to meet each resident’s personal circumstances to ensure every resident is satisfied.

Nursing Care

Nursing Care is available to residents who require constant medical and personal care. This type of care is offered to residents who might have high dependency needs due to a long-term illness, or who has learning disabilities. It is also appropriate for someone in need of palliative care.

Deeside Care Home has rooms with nursing beds and other specialised equipment to provide maximum comfort for residents in need of nursing care. Each resident will be assigned their own nurse who will get to know them well in order to provide outstanding care.

Dementia Care

We encourage our residents living with dementia to maintain their independence where possible. Our team has received specialist dementia training so you can rest assured that residents receiving dementia care are in the best hands.

As we recognise that no people are the same, we will create a customised care plan to ensure each resident receives care that is both suitable and effective. Residents living with dementia shouldn’t have to stop doing the things they enjoy just because of their condition, so we make sure to include all residents in every activity.

Respite Care

Respite care is a type of care available on a short-term basis. This form of care is a great option for individuals in need of a break from caregiving duties. It is also suitable for those who have recently had a hospital stay and need additional time to recover before they return to normal life.

Respite care can be used as a way of scheduling a trial stay which allows future residents to get a taste of what life will be like if they were to move to a care home. At Deeside, no matter someone’s reasons for seeking temporary residency at our home, everyone will be treated with the utmost respect.
