Deeside Care Home was built with the intention of providing anyone who resides with us with a full and varied life. We are delighted to provide a wide range of activities that have been organised by our Lifestyle Coordinators. Our Lifestyle Team’s mission is to provide inclusive activities for all so that all ages and abilities can partake in the fun activities scheduled each week. Residents also have the freedom to do their own thing, so if residents would rather do something else, that’s completely fine too.
Getting Out and About in Aberdeen
We are so lucky to be situated in a pleasant residential area within Aberdeen. With a range of places to visit in and around Aberdeen city centre, our care home is ideally positioned for day trips away from the home and into the lively city to explore all Aberdeen has to offer. Visitors can take a cultural tour around Dunnottar Castle, enjoy nature walks at Duthie Park, visit the River Dee to watch the sunset over the horizon or find the perfect spot for fish and chips at one of the local beaches.

Deeside Care Home has the most up-to-date nursing equipment for optimal comfort and effective care that improves the quality of life. Each resident will be assigned a key nurse so that residents become accustomed to one of our staff members who will offer support to loved ones. Our staff will get to know a resident and learn their likes, dislikes and preferences in order to provide high-quality care.
Dementia Care
Residents living with dementia will receive person-centred care in a loving and supportive environment. Our staff has received extensive training on all aspects of dementia to ensure we can provide only the best support for our residents which enables residents to excel at our home.
Because no two individuals are the same, we understand that some residents living with dementia will need little assistance while others will need much more. That is why we create personalised care plans for each resident following an assessment to ensure they receive care that’s right for them, which will be monitored regularly.
Respite Care
Respite care is a type of care that’s provided on a short-term basis. Respite care is the ideal way for full-time carers to take a scheduled break from their caring responsibilities for a period of time while we take care of their loved ones. Respite care is also suited to those who have recently had an illness, injury or operation and need an additional time out from their normal lives to fully recover in a safe setting.
Future residents can often be hesitant about moving into a care facility, therefore respite care can be used as a way of trailing stay in order for residents to experience what life will be like if they decide to relocate to Deeside Care Home permanently.
