Celebrating Success Following Outstanding Care Inspectorate Feedback
We are delighted to share the fantastic results from the recent unannounced Care Inspectorate visit to Deeside Care Home on the 5th and 6th of November 2024. The visit recognised the exceptional standard of care we deliver every day, with inspectors awarding us an overall grade of "5 – Very Good."
Here’s how we performed across key areas:
- How well do we support people’s wellbeing? Grade 5 (Very Good)
- Leadership and management: Grade 5 (Very Good)
- Staffing levels and arrangements: Grade 5 (Very Good)
- How good is our setting? Grade 4 (Good)
- How well is our care and support planned? Grade 5 (Very Good)
The Care Inspectorate noted significant strengths in our approach to care, particularly how our compassionate and respectful staff interactions help residents feel valued, comfortable, and secure. Comments from residents and families further underscored this: one resident shared that they felt "spoiled" and "wouldn’t go anywhere else," while a family member remarked that their loved one was "cared for to an exceptional standard."
We are incredibly proud that our dedication to dignity, respect, and person-centred care has been recognised in this way. It’s a true reflection of the hard work and commitment shown by every single person on our team every single day.
To celebrate this achievement, we hosted a special Celebration Party on 22nd November 2024 for all residents, their families, friends of Deeside, and the wider multidisciplinary teams (MDT) involved in supporting our residents. It was a great opportunity to come together, share in this success, and thank everyone who plays a part in making Deeside Care Home a wonderful place to live.
