A Day Of Friendship, Music And Celebration At Deeside Care Home

Residents at Deeside Care Home in Cults enjoyed a wonderful day filled with good company, music, laughter and a special birthday celebration.

The morning began with a relaxed get-together where residents came together for a cup of tea, coffee or another favourite hot drink, accompanied by a fine piece. It was a lovely opportunity to sit back, chat and enjoy some time together. These informal social occasions are an important part of life at Deeside, providing residents with the chance to catch up with friends, get to know others and build new friendships in a warm and welcoming environment.

After a sociable morning, the home came alive again in the afternoon as we welcomed the fantastic Calum McDonald for an afternoon of live entertainment. Calum performed a selection of songs spanning different decades, giving residents plenty of familiar favourites to sing and dance along to.

There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout the performance, with residents getting involved, singing along to the music and enjoying the opportunity to dance with friends and members of the team. Music is a much-loved part of activities at Deeside, and familiar songs can often bring back memories and encourage residents to share stories and experiences from throughout their lives.

The afternoon also gave everyone a reason to celebrate as one of our residents marked their birthday. Residents and staff joined together to wish them a very happy birthday, adding an extra special moment to an already enjoyable afternoon.

It was lovely to see the home filled with smiles, conversation and music throughout the day. From a simple morning coffee and chat to an afternoon of live entertainment, these shared experiences provide valuable opportunities for residents to stay socially connected, enjoy familiar interests and make new memories together.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so enjoyable, and to Calum McDonald for bringing such fantastic entertainment to Deeside. We are already looking forward to welcoming him back for another afternoon of music and dancing.
